Materials Handling Engineer
Location: Wollongong - Permanent Position

This leading engineering consultancy with a reputation for delivering innovative engineering solutions to Blue Chip organisations in the Metals, Mining, Cement and Quarry Industries is looking for an experienced materials handling engineer.

Candidate should have a proven record in the design, manufacture & construction of conveyors, chutes, storage bins, feed hoppers, crushing and screening plant and equipment.

Experience in the coal, iron ore, and hard rock quarry industry is a requirement.

You will have access to FSA’s extensive in-house CAE, FEA, CFD and DEM software for the design of materials handling solutions. The position will require you to work with a team of experienced mechanical and structural engineers and designers that strive for excellence in delivering engineering solutions to our clients.

Skills and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mining Engineering (recognised by IEAust)
Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients
Team player, self motivated and passionate about Engineering
Experience in DEM Software, Conveyor Software (Beltstat, Sidewinder or Helix)
Excellent technical report writing skills, proficient in MS Office software and planning software such as MS Project or Primavera
