Mining Engineer
Location: Wollongong - Permanent Position
This leading engineering consultancy with a reputation for delivering innovative engineering solutions to Blue Chip organisations in the Mining Industry and is looking for an experienced mining engineer.
Experience in the coal and iron ore industries is desirable.
The position will require you to work with a team of experienced mechanical and structural engineers and designers that strive for excellence in delivering engineering solutions to our clients.
Skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (recognised by AusIMM)
Minimum 6 years in coal mining, combining a substantial structural/mechanical foundation
Methane extraction systems and Longwall mining methodology
Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients
Team player, self motivated and passionate about Engineering
Familiarity with current mining software and technology
Excellent technical report writing skills, proficient in MS Office software
